38 weeks

I'm:
~ 2-3 cm dilated
After mentioning a few "symptoms" to Dr R, he was concerned I was leaking amniotic fluid. A fern test, a litmus test, and an Amniosure that they use in L&D all were negative... thank goodness because otherwise, Little Miss would be here!

With Miss Priss I was:
~ 1 cm dilated
~ 75% effaced

37 weeks

I'm:
~ measuring 38 weeks
~ a finger tip dilated

With Miss Priss I was:
~ measuring 38 weeks
~ a finger tip dilated
~ 50% effaced

Based on the sonogram this morning, T weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces and is 20 inches long. That was Miss Priss' birth weight and length at 40 weeks! My c-section is scheduled for the 24th at 7 AM!! I'm extremely nervous, but know this is a sure fire way to avoid the 4th degree tear I had with P.

and still I was induced at 40 weeks

Teagan's Pink and Orange Sprinkle

I am so blessed to have the best friends ever! Elaine and Kristin threw a GORGEOUS pink and orange sprinkle for me last weekend (33 weeks).

My friend Carole. She's due on the 31st with baby Charlotte. Yes, my belly is bigger than Carole's and she's 4 weeks ahead of me! Carole is so sweet and says it's because she's taller and carries closer to her body.

Let's just call it the 34 week appointment

Teagan is measuring a week ahead (34 weeks 6 days), weighs about 5 pounds 7 ounces and is 18.5 inches long. Obviously these are only estimates, but DANG! she's a big baby. Payton was 7 pounds 4 ounces when she was born at 40 weeks. We discussed an induction or scheduled C-section at 39 weeks, so I don't have a 4th degree tear this time. The long term effects of another tear that severe are not pleasant at all. Dr R scheduled another sono in 3 weeks for a weight check, and we'll decide how to proceed.

Birthday Parties!

Kelly turned her home tour into a tour of children's birthday parties this week!

I didn't participate in the tour of homes because I feel like my house isn't really my house right now... it's been totally depersonalized and personalization is what makes a home, in my humble opinion.

Miss Priss's 2nd birthday is quickly approaching and I need to figure out what we're doing, so it can be ready to go before Baby Sister arrives. I have the challenge of wanting to do something amazing like her 1st birthday, but having a 2ish week old thrown in the mix.

Here's a peak at P's first birthday.... a ONE-ders of the Sea themed party. Yes, it was in our backyard, but we had about 50 people over and it was a blast!

LC and I agree that home parties are the way to go until our kiddos can tell us otherwise.... and even then they might have to just deal with it!
