Payton's been practicing her breast stroke in the tub every night. She'll be ready for the Summer Olympics in no time!

Photo Poll Glitch
Apparently, there was a glitch with the poll system the photographer used. I know Nonnie, Elaine and I all got a message on Thursday that said we couldn't vote again for 24 hrs and that would be Sunday at 9 pm or something crazy like that. After it happened again yesterday, I emailed Kristie and asked her if she knew anything about this. She looked into it, and there were major problems... a grandma's vote was being cast for the competition... can you imagine! I think was why the Kissing Kitchens went up to over 600 votes in a 12 hour period.
After a few back and forth emails, I half jokingly said, well, I think we should all win ;) And guess what? "So...you will ALL be rewarded. This is the part where you start cheering. You will each receive 50% off your next session with me AND a 16X20 print of this image, lustre coated and mounted on styrene. No, it's not the canvas. But,it's pretty darn close and gives you another session to capture your family's special memories."
I'm so glad my competitive nature got the best of me.... otherwise, she wouldn't have known and those Kissing Kitchens would be the proud owners of a gallery wrapped canvas.
So, thank you all so very much for stepping in at the last possible second to help us win. Y'all are amazing and don't ever hesitate to send us something to vote for!

Merry Christmas to Me,
but I don't think these should count as my Christmas present (our washer and dryer set is 5 years old and the washer doesn't like to spin all the water out so you end up doing at least 3 dryer cycles). Yes, they were expensive, but it's not like we can function without a washer and dryer. Kinda like getting a blender for your birthday... only a super duper, teched out blender... times 100.
washer

dryer

I am excited that they're being delivered on Friday... just don't tell Lane.

New Year's Eve
For the second year, we spent NYE with the Renfrow family. This year, we decided to just spend the night so Payton could go to sleep and we wouldn't have to wake her up to go home.
Me, Grant, Payton, and Reese.... Payton and Reese were clearly too preoccupied to take a picture with me.
Playing kitchen in her jammies... she looks tired huh?
After the kiddos went to bed, Jeff and Lane built a fire in the outdoor fire place. We roasted a few marshmallows, but were freezing our hineys off so it was short lived.

While waiting for midnight, we played Partini. Lane was having a little too much fun with the molding clay... the champagne probably contributed to acting like an 8th grader.

For a clay challenge, you had to mold "Things found in a vending machine". Here, they're showing me how they would've molded "condom". Told you they were in 8th grade.... look how serious they are about it!

Resolutions!
Payton wanted me to share her New Year's resolutions with y'all.
She's jumping on Sasha's Couch to 5K bandwagon. All she needs is a running shirt ;)

And, she wants to cook more... and apparently with the biggest pots and pans we own.
