Leaving on a Jet Plane

Payton is taking her 3rd flight tomorrow! Our flight leaves at 6:55 am and Lane and I both hope she sleeps the entire flight to Birmingham. She was such a great flier at Christmas... let's hope it continues this trip or we won't be flying for awhile. I'm crossing my fingers she stays in the routine we've set up even though she won't be in her own house or her own bed.

Straws

Auntie Allie came to play on Thursday night and had a jug of her green tea. Payton is drawn to cups and straws.... basically anything to get into her mouth. Allie looked down and saw that P grabbed her straw and bent it to get into her mouth (don't worry... she hasn't figured out the sucking part... yet).

Happy Valentine's Day

The Rock and I don't do V-Day (could he get any luckier?). We both think it's a rediculous "holiday". Sure, it'll be fun when P has a party and we make cards, but I think as a couple,we're good about celebrating our love everyday even if it's something small. Still, he came home with cards and this.... again, booze and chocolate (or flowers) make me one happy camper! He might even get lucky tonight ;)

Africa

A small group at church is headed to Africa for a mission trip in April. It's really pulling at my heart and I would LOVE to go. As amazing as this opportunity would be for me, I can't help but have some reservations on how it would affect my family. Is P too young? Will she forget who I am since I'll be gone for over a week? Is this the appropriate time to spend over 3 grand on a trip that I'll take by myself? I know Lane can handle the day to day stuff while I'm gone, but who will watch P during the day? Mom and Allie are close and they could take half the time and maybe Lane's mom could come for the remainder.....

If yall could just pray for us... that a peace could come over Lane and me.... whatever the decision will be.
