Yesterday, my brother in law, Michael, came home from Iraq for an 18 day R&R.
It was incredibly emotional to watch the soldiers reunite with their wives and then to see them with their kiddos. One guy left when his son was 3 weeks old. He had tears streaming down his face once he saw his family. It was so heartwarming.
Payton was such a trooper! She took her morning nap in the car on the way to the airport, so it was about 1/3 of what she normally sleeps. Michael's plane was over an hour and a half late, so she was a little antsy by the time they started coming up the ramp.
